Brookline is pleased to report the signing for Chrysalis Custom Wigs in Elmhurst, IL. The specialty retailer has provided customized wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment in and around Chicago since 2013. They stock an extensive collection of high-quality wigs – both human hair and synthetic hair – as well as skin care products and accessories designed for women undergoing cancer therapy or radiation therapy. The retail space at York Center Plaza will be Chrysalis’ second location.
York Center Plaza is a mixed-use asset in which Brookline exclusively handles the leasing. Home to retail, office and flex tenants alike, Chrysalis is a mutually ideal fit. The new lease strengthens our objective for the plaza as a robust “community center”, with tenants that include a daycare, dental, Goldfish Swim School, Elmhurst Music Academy, Tae Kwon Do, Brewpoint Coffee Company, Evolution Dance and other family-oriented occupants.
With the addition of Chrysalis, York Center Plaza makes significant progress in filling its 63,000 rentable square feet with the right businesses. As we represent owners, tenants, investors, buyers or sellers, Brookline continues to find solutions which optimize every client’s aspirations.

Fry the Coop has since been featured on ABC’s Windy City Live and Hungry Hound, WGN’s Lunch Break, Fox’s Good Day Chicago, WGN Radio’s Bill & Wendy Show, and in the Chicago Tribune and Eater Chicago. The abundance of media coverage catapulted business from strong local core to lines out the door. They were selling like – you guessed it – Nashville Hot cakes
The Brookline team was happy to be back among the over 37,000 attendees and miles of displays at this year’s International Council of Shopping Centers event in Las Vegas: RECon 2018. RECon is the global convention for the shopping center industry and provides networking, deal making and educational opportunities for retail real estate professionals from around the world.
