Brookline is pleased to announce the Grand Opening for Goldfish Swim School in Elmhurst, IL. Since opening its first franchise in 2009 in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Goldfish Swim School has continued to grow across the country. There are currently over 65 schools open or in development in more than 17 states. Today, Goldfish is proud to teach more than 50,000 students per week to swim and be safer in and around the water.
York Center Plaza is a mixed-use asset in which Brookline exclusively handles the leasing. Home to retail, office and flex tenants alike, Goldfish is a mutually ideal fit. The new lease strengthens our objective for the plaza as a robust “community center”, with tenants that include a daycare, Elmhurst Music Academy, Evolution Dance and other family-oriented occupants.
With the addition of Goldfish Swim School, York Center Plaza makes significant progress in filling its 63,000 rentable square feet with the right businesses. As we represent owners, tenants, investors, buyers or sellers, Brookline continues to find solutions which optimize every client’s aspirations.

Fry the Coop has since been featured on ABC’s Windy City Live and Hungry Hound, WGN’s Lunch Break, Fox’s Good Day Chicago, WGN Radio’s Bill & Wendy Show, and in the Chicago Tribune and Eater Chicago. The abundance of media coverage catapulted business from strong local core to lines out the door. They were selling like – you guessed it – Nashville Hot cakes
