“Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s menu boasts bold, flavorful food and smoothies with a healthy appeal, all made to order from the freshest ingredients. We find that superior, simple ingredients including real fruit and veggies set our smoothies apart from the others.”
The healthy-lifestyle retailer first opened its doors in 1997 in Tallahassee, Florida. They now operate over 500 locations nationwide. Two more were recently inked at Brookline assets in the Chicago suburbs of Lockport and Tinley Park.
The unit in Lockport has a drive-thru to keep sales going indoors and out. Lockport Square is also anchored by a Walmart Supercenter on a corner densely surrounded by residential developments.
The Tinley Park location at Convention Plaza is ideal given the high traffic counts at the intersection of Harlem Avenue and 183rd Street, the dense area of quality retailers, and the built-in traffic to and from the Tinley Park Convention Center.
Brookline is thrilled to add one of the fastest growing national retailers to the tenant mix at two separate centers as we continue to add value and quality consumer options in those communities.

Convention Plaza in Tinley Park will now be fully occupied with the new addition of Fratello’s Café signing on for two units totaling 2,740 SF. The established café offers fresh sandwiches and salads, pastas and paninis, imported meats, coffee, beer and wine.
The Brookline team was happy to be back among the over 37,000 attendees and miles of displays at this year’s International Council of Shopping Centers event in Las Vegas: RECon 2017. RECon is the global convention for the shopping center industry and provides networking, deal making and educational opportunities for retail real estate professionals from around the world.
Brookline is delighted to bring Brewpoint Coffee Company to the prominent retail center in Elmhurst, York Center Plaza. Situated on York Road at the I-290 interchange, just north of downtown, the 74,000 SF neighborhood center is at the prime spot for the recent extension of high-end retail on the North York Corridor. With a new Mariano’s, LA Fitness and Starbucks directly across the street, and a new Edward-Elmhurst Health Center under construction, the 23k VPD traffic counts are sure to increase.
