Marketplace at Tinley Park was in a distressed state after some tenants unfortunately vacated despite the center’s great qualities. Located next door to CVS on busy Harlem Avenue, the newer-construction asset was not cash-flowing earlier this year. Ownership remained dedicated to selling as a value-add investment.

Given its location, great appearance and significant upside value, Brookline was able to procure a proven local buyer to close amid uncertainty in the industry. Furthermore, the buyer chose to retain Brookline’s leasing and property management services to help return Marketplace at Tinley Park to its pre-pandemic glory by finding and bringing great tenants to the center and its community.
